While there is no physical pain in my rectum, a blood test still indicated that there is still some infection going on.
To be on the safe side, the doctor decided to do an ultrasound scan. Here in Denmark this is done completely without the use of anaesthetics. There are to scanners, both of them are solid as opposed to soft. One is a little thicker and is meant for the lower rectum while the other one is thinner and can go a little higher.
Since I am still fighting constipation and in turn diarrhea, my anal muscle is very sensitive, and the examination was really uncomfortable and painful. The doctor spend around one to two minutes using each one of them, and while this was going on I really could not relax. After the examination, it took me a few hours before I felt somewhat back to normal again,
Well, the good news is that there is no sign of the abscess, everything looks normal.
